2020 Interior Design Trends

In 2020, you can expect the signature looks of 2019 like accent walls and all-white kitchens to evolve. And if there's one way to describe the interior design trends we will see more of in 2020, it’s anything goes. Here are a few trends to keep your eyes peeled for!

Sustainable Materials

Sustainability has become an increasingly popular trend. People are more ecologically conscious and knowledgeable than ever before, so it makes sense that sustainability has become more important in the design world too.

Light Fixtures

Nowadays, even renters can tailor a space with swappable light fixtures. Lighting continues to be very important in home design, and it does more than brighten up a room. Light fixtures are a bold detail that will not be overlooked in 2020. These accents are ideal for anyone who wants to invest in statement lighting without the commitment of hardwiring.

Vibrant Colors

Bold Chromatics will become the new neutrals in 2020. Tiles, cabinetry, walls and more all serve as opportunities where more color can be added. It is also predicted that pink will be big this year, including peachy corals and terra cotta.

Country Chic

This new farmhouse style is European/British and sophisticated. This is a fresh take on the existing farmhouse style, without being too stuffy. Think mixed patterns, antiques mixed with new decor, and muted primary tones.

Patterns

We saw patterns gain popularity last year, and they're here to stay. Textile designs, layered patterns, and exotic wallpapers will be all the rage this year.

Two Toned Kitchens

Although the all-white kitchen is still adored and favored by many, more and more people are choosing two-tone kitchens instead. For example, a black base and white tile/upper, along with wood to add a bit of pop.
