Sotheby's Collector's Edition | Wine Cellars
Those who know Kimberleigh King (one half of the WinninghamKing team) know her love of wine and passion for wine collecting; and recently, a special feature popped up on the Sotheby's Realty blog that we just had to share. They curated a special post dedicated to six homes across the globe that boast unique, and well-stocked, wine cellars.
First up, in Telluride, Colorado, a contemporary home in an unbeatable mountain setting. The property includes "reflective pond, indulgent master and guest suites, and cozy living areas with impressive fireplaces." But what we think is most impressive, is the modern take on wine storage.
Next up, a classically Quebec estate boasts luxe master suite, inviting common areas, and over 50 acres of manicured grounds; but our favorite part - the wood-clad wine cellar.
Zipping down south of the equator to a property that includes a helipad, two-story pool house, tennis court, and heated pool; the bar and wood detailed wine storage is the cherry on top of the beautifully luxe South African sundae.
We weren't sure we had ever seen an apartment with such impressive wine storage before. Leave it to Sao Paolo, Brazil to kick up the motto of "good friends, good wine, good life" to match all aspects of this funky, ready-to-rent, apartment.
Getting back to traditional wine cellar visions, this historic Prague listing in Kampa Island has had a reconstructive remodel and updating the original cellar to a new, chic version of what you might expect of old Europe. The home is clean and ready to show off your collection.
For the last home feature on the list, we get back to basics and present this fantastic, gold leaf inlay ceiling, commissioned chandelier, private elevator, in-floor heating masterpiece. A standout in function and design (in the entire home, not just the wine cellar) and the perfect lingering note to finish this series.
